Privacy notice

This notice explains what data Shopyra collects when you use our website or install one of our Shopify apps, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Shopyra builds apps for the Shopify platform. For the purposes of GDPR we are the data controller for data collected through this website, and a data processor for data we handle on behalf of merchants who install our apps. You can reach us athello@shopyra.app.
What we collect on this website
- Nothing by default. This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party trackers. Your theme preference is stored in your own browser's local storage and never leaves your device.
- Contact form submissions. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, optional store URL and message you provide.
- Newsletter subscriptions. If you subscribe, we store your email address until you unsubscribe.
- Aggregate traffic data. Our host records standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested path) for security and capacity purposes. These are retained for a short period and are not used to profile individuals.
What our apps collect
Each app requests the minimum Shopify API scopes it needs to function, and those scopes are shown to you at install time. In general our apps store configuration you create (slide content, badge choices, campaign schedules) and the store identifiers needed to serve it back. Apps that display order-derived information read the fields required for that display and nothing further.
We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not use merchant or shopper data to train third-party models.
GDPR and mandatory webhooks
All of our apps implement Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks — customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact. When a merchant or shopper exercises their rights through Shopify, our systems respond automatically within the required window.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Emailhello@shopyra.app and we will action the request. We do not charge for this and we will not ask you why.
Sub-processors
We use a small number of vendors to host infrastructure, send transactional email and provide support tooling. A current list of sub-processors, along with our data processing agreement, is available on request.
Retention
App configuration data is deleted within 30 days of uninstall. Support correspondence is kept for two years so we can refer back to prior context. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
Changes
If we make a material change to this notice we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell merchants directly rather than relying on you re-reading this page.
